A Name In Lights
Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also
hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: (10)
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and
things in earth, and things under the earth; (11) And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (KJV)
When going to the theatre to see what is
playing, they put the name of the main character in lights up above for all
to see. The name not only describes the person involved, but what is taking
place inside. Now playing, in the realm of the Spirit, salvation, with
Jesus Christ as our ticket into the heavenly realm to see how it plays out.
2 Corinthians 3:14-16 But their minds were
blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the
reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. (15) But
even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. (16) Nevertheless
when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. (KJV)
A name is being unveiled and revealed to
all of God’s people so that it can be seen by them, and so that they can
know how God’s plan of salvation plays out. While many give reviews of what
is playing at a theatre based on their own interpretations, God expects His
people to see for themselves what is taking place by entering in and taking
a seat. There is a name, actually one name that removes any doubt or
blindness caused by our limited carnal thinking so that we can clearly
access the Father through His Son, and see for ourselves what is taking
place inside.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 Now the Lord is
that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (18) But
we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are
changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of
the Lord. (KJV)
Now if you tried to watch a movie with a
veil over your head it just wouldn’t work. Well many today still are in the
dark, because they don’t know the name of our Lord that removes the
spiritual blinders that have kept them in the dark and on the outside.
Acts 4:10-12 Be it known unto you all,
and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him
doth this man stand here before you whole. (11) This is the stone which was
set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. (12)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under
heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)
Just like when trying to get into the
theater, you need the right ticket. Trying to access the theatre with an
old or outdated ticket will not work either. The Bible is quite clear and
specific on what complete name gets you access into the realm of God, while
anything or anyone else keeps you on the outside looking in.
Matthew 16:16-18 And Simon Peter answered
and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (17) And Jesus
answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and
blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (18)
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will
build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (KJV)
The Lord Himself came to reveal unto us
how we too could access the inner workings of our Father, and what name He
would respond to and allow us in with. While mankind has come up with many
bogus and cheap imitations for what name our Lord goes by, the Bible is
quite clear in illuminating us to the truth that sets us free. There is a
name, one name that our Lord goes by, and it is lit up for us to see. Can
you see who He is and what name is illuminated above so the gates of hell
will no longer prevail and hold you back from gaining entrance?
James 1:16-18 Do not err, my beloved
brethren. (17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and
cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness,
neither shadow of turning. (18) Of his own will begat he us with the word
of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. (KJV)
God sent us His best, the good and
perfect gift, so that we too could be partakers of the gift of Christ. What
name do you consider above all others, and is it the same one God clearly
points us to in His word, that being Jesus Christ, the one mediator between
God and mankind?
