All In

Luke 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. (KJV)

Forsake it all, laying down our lives for the brethren, just how much does our Lord really require of us? Well, some people think that showing up at some building or religious organization once in a while puts them in good standing with God. However, for those that truly desire to establish a deeper relationship with God, they know that the more they draw closer to Him, by their obedience to His Word, the more He reveals Himself to them in return.

Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (7) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. (KJV)

Think of it this way, when you decided to let the Lord into your life and made a commitment to Him, you were basically doing a 180 as far as the thought process goes. What used to be a life of outward vision is now replaced by the inward one, now having the eyes of your understanding enlightened to the realm of the Spirit. The only way you can be pleasing to God is by walking by faith and no longer relying on what looks good or appeals to the outward man.

2 Corinthians 5:16-18 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; (KJV)

Do you really desire to go all the way with our Lord, knowing that He and only He, is the author as well as the finisher of our faith. When you made your commitment to the Lord, you now entered a totally new realm, a realm which the impossible is now possible, and should be expected. If you really desire to walk with the Lord, and I am not just talking about the beginning but enduring to the end, then you will need to keep your mind renewed daily so that you can think like our Lord, being likeminded. Double minded or carnally minded is enmity with God and will leave you forsaken, lost at sea being driven back and forth with winds of doctrines.

1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (KJV)

Oh there are so many things out there that the enemy will throw your way to get you distracted and if possible pursuing after; you know, like a dog chasing his tail? It’s up to you personally to hear the Lord and what He approves of, and what He says is a hindrance to your walk and needs to be discarded. So let’s get exercising people; get those Spiritual senses exercised so that you don’t get knocked senseless by the cheap imitations of this world.
