Predestination
Ephesians 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual
blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (4) According as he hath chosen us
in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and
without blame before him in love: (5) Having predestinated us unto the
adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good
pleasure of his will, (KJV)
Predestination; a word so simple and yet
so misconstrued by those that look after the carnal and not the Spiritual
aspect. Predestination means to determine before hand as well as
ordain. Now think of your own
children, when you found out that they would be arriving soon you made
provisions for them, and had their best interest at heart. You pictured
them being a productive person some day, growing up and making you joyful
to be their parent. Well, our Father has the same plan for His people,
blessing Spiritual people with Spiritual blessings. Our Father also
designed this plan for all mankind, given the fact that He is no respecter
of persons.
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son into
the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be
saved. (KJV)
You mean I actually have a choice in the
matter? Of course you do, that is why God sent His Son, so that none should
perish, but as we see clearly, He would like to see all come to repentance.
Some folks think that only certain people are predestinated whether they
like it or not, while others have no choice, even if they desire to
believe. Well folks that is just a crock to say the least. In fact it
sounds more like arranged marriages which are not based on love. A God of
love sent His message in love, and those that respond in love and
understanding will know the truth that sets them free.
Romans 10:11-13 For the scripture saith,
Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (12) For there is no
difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is
rich unto all that call upon him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved. (KJV)
If you consider yourself a ‘whosoever’
then you are definitely eligible for salvation. Some people think certain
sects of people or even a certain number of people are predestinated, while
everyone else is already condemned. Thus the importance of spending time
daily in the word of God exercising your Spiritual senses so that you can
know for yourself what is of God and what is of the enemy.
Romans 5:6-8 For when we were yet without
strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. (7) For scarcely for a
righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even
dare to die. (8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (KJV)
Once again we see that Christ died for
us, not just for a handful of people who think that they have special
privileges based on their carnal lineage and not Spiritual.
Romans 8:28-30 And we know that all
things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the
called according to his purpose. (29) For whom he did foreknow, he also did
predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the
firstborn among many brethren. (30) Moreover whom he did predestinate, them
he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he
justified, them he also glorified. (KJV)
God does know who will respond and walk
in agreement with His purpose, one He purposed before the foundation of the
world. Why not take the time to find out today personally for yourself what
our Lord predetermined is the only path that will get you to His
predestined eternal inheritance.
