Smoke And Mirrors
Galatians 4:8-11 Howbeit then, when ye
knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. (9) But
now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye
again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in
bondage? (10) Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. (11) I am
afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. (KJV)
We talked yesterday about the old bait
and switch routine that many false prophets have incorporated and brought
forth claiming it is truth. Basically taking something carnal and trying to
make it appear spiritual, something approved of by God. Could you see Paul
the apostle today, probably sitting in a chair with his head in his hands,
especially around the time of December when mankind tries to peddle
something manmade and make it appear to be something approved by God? You
know folks, it’s one thing to be duped in our past before our conversion in
Christ by this nonsense, but man oh man it is quite another to keep falling
for something so obvious and yet so blinding to those that are still in the
flesh.
Luke 16:14-15 And the Pharisees also, who
were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. (15) And he
said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God
knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is
abomination in the sight of God. (KJV)
Thayer’s New Testament definition for
‘esteemed’:
5308
hupselos-
1) high, lofty
a) exalted on
high
So folks, let me ask this question, with
all the hoopla and nonsense that takes place every year around the 25th
of December, and with all the world partaking of this nonsense, can you
really say it has anything to do with God?
John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now
is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in
truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (24) God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (KJV)
The birth, or should I say the rebirth that
we should be concerning ourselves with today is something that is taking
place within us; not looking for outward things to fulfill an inward need.
God is still looking for those that desire a personal relationship with
Him, which only works for those that are in the Spirit, and desire to stay
in that realm by walking away and out of this fallen one. All other
pretenders and wannabe’s will just be passed by while our Lord looks for
His true believers in Christ.
John 4:25-26 The woman saith unto him, I
know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will
tell us all things. (26) Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am
he. (KJV)
You know, Christ has come; in fact when
you accepted God’s plan of salvation His Son took up residence within you,
thus the term being born again. In order for you to continue in the
Spiritual realm it will have to be done by faith, hearing what Christ has
to say to you personally as well. So Church, quit playing carnal petty
games with all the other petty people who get taken in by cheap smoke and
mirror doctrines which keep them pointed more to the outward realm rather
than an inward daily renewing by the Word.
