The View From Above
Hebrews 4:4-6 For he spake in a certain
place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day
from all his works. (5) And in this place again, If they shall enter into
my rest. (6) Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein,
and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: (KJV)
So why did God rest on the seventh day?
Well, it wasn’t because He was tired; no, actually He saw that everything
He made was good, and everything needed for His creation was provided. Now
He is waiting to see who will believe in His plan of salvation, and then
walk according to the path that He ordained for them to walk in before the
foundation of the world.
Isaiah 46:9-10 Remember the former things
of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none
like me, (10) Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times
the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I
will do all my pleasure: (KJV)
You know, when you have a view from
above, let’s say in heaven, our God is able to see the overall picture, not
only the beginning but the ending part as well. So with that in mind, you now
know why He is able to declare something before it happens, knowing it will
manifest in its proper time. Stop and think about this fact, we have access
to an all loving all knowing God, the one and only God that has eternal
life planned out for us. So with all that you took thought of today, which
of you could really change anything for the positive, especially if it
contradicts what our Lord planned out for you before this world was even
created?
Luke 12:22-25 And he said unto his
disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye
shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. (23) The life is
more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. (24) Consider the
ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor
barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? (25)
And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? (KJV)
So what is it really like to enter into
our Lord’s rest? Well as simple as it sounds, it totally contradicts our
old nature and outward senses. Entering into our Lord’s rest means you are
also seated with our Lord in a heavenly place on a daily basis so that you
can hear His personal message of deliverance from this fallen world. You
also get to see things from above so that you can see for yourself this
day, right now, what the Lord saw for you before the foundation of this
world. Awesome is it not?
Isaiah 42:8-9 I am the LORD: that is my
name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven
images. (9) Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I
declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. (KJV)
Do you wonder why you are restless at
times, maybe a bit anxious about things, many times things that have
nothing to do with salvation? Well if that is the case, then it is time to
turn it over to someone who already knew what you had need of before you
even asked. Once you have reestablished peace, then stay seated so that you
can get the view from above and not be overwhelmed with the things below.
