Abundant Life

John 10:10-11 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (11) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. (KJV)

The whole reason that our Father in heaven sent us the good shepherd is so that He could show us an example of a new life that would be available soon after His departure. The first man Adam fell, so a second man was sent from above to show us what is in His realm, which is a life above and beyond all that we could have ever asked or thought about.

1 Peter 1:10-12 Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: (11) Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. (12) Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. (KJV)

You know, the good shepherd spoke through the prophets in the Old Testament, but they could only speak and not actually see and know for themselves the things that we now have access to by the Spirit. Even the angels themselves desired to see these things and could not. So with all that is available in this new realm have you taken the time to look into this life for yourself, so that you can be a partaker in deed?

John 14:2-6 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (4) And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. (5) Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? (6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)

Sounds like there is a lot going on in this heavenly realm, a lot better than what I see going on in this fallen one that’s for sure. You have access today, right now, so there is no reason or excuse for you not partaking of this new life, and having it abundantly also. With all that has been done to make this available for you, whether through the sufferings of the Lord’s prophets or, as well as what our Lord endured so that you could have this new life, you need to make it a priority if you truly desire to have this life and have it in abundance as well.

Colossians 3:1-4 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. (2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. (3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. (4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (KJV)

Christ is making His appearance known; however, you won’t find Him or this new life in the outward realm anymore, but rather it is located in a secret place, one which is Spiritual. Christ died so that you could partake of this new life, and if you are dying also then you too will be able to rise up and partake of it as well. No wonder the thief is fighting so hard to keep your focus and attention on the things of this life, so that He can try to steal the new one that is there for the taking. If your life is not centered in and on Christ then there is no life, but rather your life is centered on a bunch of blind deadbeats leading others into an eternal ditch. If you desire a better life, an abundant one, then start looking above so that One in that realm can do above and beyond all that you could have ever thought of or asked for.
