The Truth In Love
1 Corinthians 13:9-11 For we know in
part, and we prophesy in part. (10) But when that which is perfect is come,
then that which is in part shall be done away. (11) When I was a child, I
spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I
became a man, I put away childish things. (KJV)
A perfect love or understanding of God
casts out all fear. Reminds me of when I was a youngster watching monster
movies or giant creatures that were invading cities. At the time it seemed
real to my understanding, and I would be frightened by the images. However
today, watching some of these same movies over again I can’t help but
chuckle at the cheap special effects, and the things that seemed gigantic
at the time are really just people in disguises. The same premise holds
true in your walk with the Lord, people or images that seemed real in your
past are now easily identified because you now have your Spiritual senses
exercised and are able to see the cheap special effects man tries to put on
their religions. The more you see of our Lord the more you are able to see
through these cheap hoaxes and disguises that mankind hides behind claiming
that they are of God. Also, the more you see and know of the love of God and
what He has done on your behalf, the more it motivates you to serve Him and
return the favor as well.
Ephesians 4:11-15 And he gave some,
apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and
teachers; (12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (13) Till we all come in
the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a
perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (14)
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (15) But speaking the
truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even
Christ: (KJV)
The reason God sent us His Son, as well
as the people called to do ministry work, is so that we could grow up and
mature in the realm of the Spirit and not stay trapped in our old fearful
fallen nature. The knowledge we should be seeking is now coming from
someone perfect who lived a life without sin. The purpose of those that are
called to teach and preach Christ is to do so from the motive of love, so
that we could grow up and mature in Him, which is what the word ‘stature’
is referring to also. The more you grow and mature in the knowledge of
Christ the more it eliminates the fears and doubts of your lower, carnal,
and yes childish nature. The growth comes when you learn to not only hear
the truth, but speak and teach it with the motive of love as well.
John 15:12-13 This is my commandment,
That ye love one another, as I have loved you. (13) Greater love hath no
man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (KJV)
Euuwweee, it’s so early in the morning,
do I really have to get up now? Well, maybe the Lord would like to show you
something in His Word so that you would be prepared this day to speak His Word
in love. Maybe that Word He would have you give ear to is not just for
yourself, but for one of His other people that you may encounter this day.
But hey, if you are too busy He will find someone else and let you keep
napping, or should I say sleep like a baby? God’s people have endured many
afflictions throughout the Bible to get this message out and keep it
flowing, the question is will you let it flow through you or will it just
flow right by?
1 John 4:4-7 Ye are of God, little
children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you,
than he that is in the world. (5) They are of the world: therefore speak
they of the world, and the world heareth them. (6) We are of God: he that
knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know
we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. (7) Beloved, let us love
one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God,
and knoweth God. (KJV)
Do you wonder why the world is falling
apart? Well, many that were called of God are not speaking the truth in
love, but rather have allowed an inferior influence to get in and motivate
them, that being a love for this world. Many are called, but only few are
chosen; because only a few will allow someone greater to take over, and who
are willing to serve Him in love. Do you desire to know God? Then you will
need to do so with the motive of love.
John 12:25-26 He that loveth his life
shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto
life eternal. (26) If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am,
there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father
honour. (KJV)
What is your motivation this day? Because
if it is not one of love, then you will hate the outcome.
