The Whole World
1 John 5:18-20 We know that whosoever is
born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself,
and that wicked one toucheth him not. (19) And we know that we are of God,
and the whole world lieth in wickedness. (20) And we know that the Son of
God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that
is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This
is the true God, and eternal life. (KJV)
You know, it doesn’t matter where you go
in this fallen world, as long as we are in this realm we are surrounded
with fallen people falling for the same lies. There is nothing new under
the sun; however, all things become new to those that allow the Son to
shine in their heart. Don’t look for much support out there people, because
you won’t find it, especially in this world. Your only strength, peace, and
comfort will come from above if you desire to endure to the end.
Romans 3:3-4 For what if some did not
believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? (4) God
forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That
thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou
art judged. (KJV)
This, right here (in the above verses),
is a point that every Christian needs to come to if they desire to proceed
forward in their walk in the Spirit, and endure to the end. Each and every
believer in Christ needs to get to this point no matter what everyone else
is saying or doing, no matter who they are, or how close you have been to
them including those that claim to be of God. You the believer need to know
for yourself the doctrine of Christ and walk accordingly no matter how
weird or different it may be to those of this world. Once you get to this
point, is when you will learn to be an overcomer not an underachiever or
some wannabe like the many others that spend more time pleasing man than
God.
Romans 12:1-3 I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2)
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God. (3) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to
every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he
ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every
man the measure of faith. (KJV)
You know that measure of faith that God
dealt to you? Yeah, you’re a winner not a whiner. Like in a card game many
hands are dealt to people, and for most of the people of this world they
are being dealt a lie from the enemy. But for those in Christ they have
been dealt a winning hand by someone that is not of this world, whose
thoughts and ways are so much higher than this world. The question now
becomes, will you receive this faith and then continue in it. Why oh why do
so many so called Christians still pattern their lives after a fallen world
rather than coming out from among the traditions and doctrines of man and
be separate from all these ungodly influences? For those that still choose
to be people pleasers and seeking approval from fallen people put a big ‘L’
on your forehead for loser.
1 John 2:14-17 I have written unto you,
fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have
written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God
abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. (15) Love not the
world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. (16) For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not
of the Father, but is of the world. (17) And the world passeth away, and
the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (KJV)
Want to know what else passes away with
the world? Yeah, all those that hold to it and its fallen ways. It is
amazing how many people are still so likeminded with the world; even those
that claim to be of God are just like the world, they just throw a few
scriptures in and think it is fine. How does one overcome the influence of
the wicked one? Simple, by not becoming attached to this world or those who
are in agreement with it.
Luke 12:29-32 And seek not ye what ye
shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. (30) For
all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father
knoweth that ye have need of these things. (31) But rather seek ye the
kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. (32) Fear
not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the
kingdom. (KJV)
Do you ever wonder why the Lord’s people
are referred to as a little flock? Because in the end, only a few will
truly conform more to the way of the Lord by no longer seeking the things
of this world.
