Who Do You Think You’re Fooling?
Proverbs 10:18-21 He that hideth hatred
with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. (19) In the
multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips
is wise. (20) The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the
wicked is little worth. (21) The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools
die for want of wisdom. (KJV)
Who do you think you’re fooling? Well,
after listening to all the nonsense that just came out of your mouth, which
is just an extension of the heart, I would say yourself. Your heart is the
storehouse, and it just depends on which realm you choose to partake of,
this fallen world or the eternal one that awaits you? A fool is easily
identified, yeah they are the ones with all the answers; you know, the
experts at everything and the masters of nothing. They are the ones that
know what everyone else has need of except for themselves.
Proverbs 16:21-24 The wise in heart shall
be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning. (22) Understanding
is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools
is folly. (23) The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth
learning to his lips. (24) Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the
soul, and health to the bones. (KJV)
What goes into the heart is what will
come out, and if it is not the wisdom that is from above then it is just
plain foolish at best. Do you take the time to think about what you are going
to speak before hand, or are you more of a ready, shoot, and then take aim?
Not very wise; especially when one truly realizes the casualties that can happen
because of foolish talk.
James 3:16-18 For where envying and
strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. (17) But the wisdom that
is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be
intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without
hypocrisy. (18) And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them
that make peace. (KJV)
A fool is one that wrestles with flesh
and blood; competing to be first rather than looking at the needs of others
first. In order to be considered a wise man you will need to be giving ear
to the wisdom from above, from a wise man seated at the right hand of God,
and no longer looking to those of this fallen realm of mankind. The wisdom
that is from above will be pointing you to that realm above, while a fool
will be pointing you elsewhere.
Proverbs 12:18-20 There is that speaketh
like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. (19) The
lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a
moment. (20) Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the
counsellors of peace is joy. (KJV)
The joy of the Lord is our strength; so
rather than entertaining evil thoughts one needs to cast them down in order
to keep the peace of God flowing through them. What kind of doctrine are
you speaking; one of wisdom, or some other foolish version that won’t hold
any water?
Ecclesiastes 5:1-5 Keep thy foot when
thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the
sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. (2) Be not
rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing
before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy
words be few. (3) For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and
a fool's voice is known by multitude of words. (4) When thou vowest a vow
unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that
which thou hast vowed. (5) Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than
that thou shouldest vow and not pay. (KJV)
You know, when you were born again you
vowed your life to the Lord, and now it is time to follow through with that
commitment. While many of this fallen realm are more concerned with the vow
being paid in the form of tithes and offerings, those that truly know the
truth will be those that make serving our Lord more of a way of life in
Spirit and in truth. A fool is known by a multitude of words, always living
in a dream world and talking out of both sides of their mouth. Those that
are truly called of God will let their words be fewer, only speaking what
they hear from the Lord and not what they imagine they are hearing.
Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good
treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man
out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil:
for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. (KJV)
What is coming out of your heart today,
and who do you think you are fooling; because besides yourself, actually no
one.
Galatians 6:3 For if a man think himself
to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. (KJV)
