All

1 Corinthians 15:21-22 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. (22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (KJV)

Are you able to see a simple pattern emerging, the distinction between what is of the flesh and what is Spirit? As we see and have been reading lately in the scriptures the realm of the flesh is a dead end, and not just too a few but to all that abide there. But as we see another pattern unfolding, that being all those in Christ are now resurrecting and partaking of a new life in Him, the one He was sent to bring to His people and give them access to.

Romans 3:21-23 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; (22) Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: (23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (KJV)

The truth is that we all still sin and fall short of the glory of God because of the influence of our lower nature and the effect it had on us. Sin is just unbelief and a result of it; and we all have our own areas that we are or have been weak in that needed to be mended and repaired like a link of a chain. Another way we still sin is when we try to operate according to what we think is righteous, which can accurately be described as self righteous. That second man from heaven that was sent our way, not just Jesus, but Jesus Christ was sent so that we could know what God was asking of us personally and do those things that would keep us in right standing with Him. Anytime we drift outside the realm of faith we are then back in a realm of sin again, because without faith it is impossible, and that would be for all, to please God.

Romans 5:10-12 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (11) And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. (12) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (KJV)

Do you remember how Christ died? Well, it says that He that knew no sin became sin for us, and because of that the wages of sin was death for Him, being separated from God. It is by His resurrection though, because death could not keep its hold on Him, that we too are resurrected from a life of sin to walk in a newness of life. Yes, even though we all still sin and fall short, it’s learning to overcome these areas or influences so that we can grow and mature more in the realm of the Spirit by not acting like a bunch of carnal baby Christians.

2 Corinthians 5:16-19 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. (17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; (19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (KJV)

Come on now, honestly, can you really say that every day is like a resurrection, waking up and experiencing a whole new realm in Christ? Are the eyes of your understanding enlightened to the things of Christ so that all this second man from heaven made available to you is something you are actually experiencing? God’s own Word was made flesh and dwelt among us so that He could demonstrate how we too could walk in a newness of life by keeping our old fallen nature in subjection to His Spirit. You know, the more you give ear to this Word of reconciliation the more real and alive it becomes to you the believer. Old things, old results, you know, a day late and a dollar short, are done away so that you can now have new life in Christ and have it more abundantly.

Lamentations 3:22-26 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. (23) They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (24) The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. (25) The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. (26) It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. (KJV)

Keep in mind the fact that we are saved by grace through faith, and not of our own works, which eliminates any boasting on our part. I will tell you what does get old though, is listening to a bunch of self righteous so called Christians who make it seem like God takes orders from them. People that sit around and act like, if it wasn’t for them then God could not get His word out to this fallen world. Well, God has done just fine without man’s help or input; and if I recall it is man that sins and falls short, not the other way around is it? The more faithful you are in seeking and hearing the Lord the more you will see into His new realm and what He has for you and not be taken down by this old fallen realm.

Ephesians 2:13-16 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (14) For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (15) Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; (16) And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: (KJV)

If your old life was so good then why did you bother looking for something else? Deep down you came to the realization that despite gaining the things of this world your own soul was dying. Verse 15 gives an accurate description of our new life; how God took of the two, Jesus the first man Adam, and Christ the second man from heaven, and made one new man out of them. The Lord Himself would like to take the things of God and show them to you personally so that a new man can resurrect in you also. Are you a new creation in Christ today letting the old pass away, or are you like many who are passing away in the old?
