Constant
Constant means to be, steadfast, firm,
not variable, continuous, faithful, steady, or unwavering. The opposite,
inconstant, means to be disloyal or fickle. Again, these definitions come
from Webster’s New American Dictionary copyright 1947.
1 Chronicles 28:7 Moreover I will
establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my
commandments and my judgments, as at this day. (KJV)
Isn’t this the same for us; if we will be
constant in doing all that God asks of us today, according to His Word, He
will establish us in His kingdom forever? And remember, it is His good
pleasure to give us the kingdom.
Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it
is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (KJV)
Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of
the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and
said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: (21) Neither shall
they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is
within you. (KJV)
With God there is no variableness or
shadow of turning. His kingdom is within you, and is the same yesterday,
and today, and forever. It is one constant in our lives that we can depend
on and hold to. Will you allow Him to give you the kingdom, and then to
make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, and settle you in His kingdom?
God is faithful; He has not left us
alone; He gave us life and life more abundantly in His kingdom, in Christ
His Son, our only hope of glory. So let us hold fast the profession of
faith this day, without wavering; knowing that He is faithful that
promised.
