Another Day In Paradise
I was walking into work one morning
recently and thought in my mind ‘another day in paradise’ in a kind of
sarcastic tone. I then heard the Lord speak to me that in Christ it is
another day in paradise. Let’s just say that my attitude changed at that
point.
Remember the thief on the cross and what our
Lord spoke to him? The thief confessed with his mouth and believed in his
heart the Lord Jesus Christ unto his own salvation, and was given a place
in paradise.
Luke 23:39-43 And one of the malefactors
which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself
and us. (40) But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou
fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? (41) And we indeed
justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done
nothing amiss. (42) And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou
comest into thy kingdom. (43) And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto
thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. (KJV)
And I am sure that you remember that Jesus
Christ spoke that He would go and prepare a place for us and that where He
is so there we may be also.
John 14:1-4 Let not your heart be
troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (2) In my Father's house
are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to
prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I
will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may
be also. (4) And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. (KJV)
When we accepted Jesus Christ we were
sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise and given a seat in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus, paradise.
Ephesians 2:4-6 But God, who is rich in
mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, (5) Even when we were dead
in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (6)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus: (KJV)
Each day that we chose to remain seated
in heavenly places in Christ Jesus is another day in paradise. So remember
brethren that we are in paradise, today, right now if that is where we
chose to be, and we are blessed with all spiritual blessings when we remain
seated at the right hand of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So however we look at life today,
whatever comes our way, where ever we are, let’s remember that paradise is
within us giving us the light of life that warms the heart and provides a
peace that passes all understanding. What a beautiful thing to partake of
another day in paradise, in Christ.
John 17:24 Father,
I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that
they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me
before the foundation of the world. (KJV)
