Bear Fruit

Bearing fruit begins within the vine; the roots which pull up the nutrients and the water from the soil produces the branches and the fruit which hang from them. That which is sown within is what will produce the fruit without. And depending on the type of soil and water that the vine is produced from will determine the outcome of the fruit bearing.

So with this in mind we have been grafted into the One true vine which is sown in good fertile ground with living waters plenty bearing the fruit of the Spirit. Yet for us, as one of the branches grafted in, we need to continually partake of the this source of nourishment to remain healthy and able to bear fruit that is well pleasing to the husbandman, He who planted the One true vine in the first place for us to be a part of and partake of.

As we continue in the vine, which is Christ, our Father in heaven continually prunes away the old so that we can continue to draw strength and nourishment from our source of life and allow Him to bring forth new growth and maturity that enables us to continue to bear the fruit of the Spirit and remain grafted in.

John 15:1-8 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. (2) Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. (3) Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. (4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. (5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (KJV)

Remember the consequences of not continuing to abide in the One true vine, is that one will be cut off and cast away because they have not glorified our Father neither have they bore His fruit which is well pleasing in His sight.

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. (KJV)

So brethren, today I encourage you to continue in Christ and allow our Father to prune you so that you are able to continue to bear much fruit, His Spiritual fruit in your life, and to then share this fruit with others that they too may partake of the fruit of the One true vine, Christ in you. Herein is our Father glorified.

John 15:7-8 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (8) Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. (KJV)
