Denominational Nonsense

Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (KJV)

Hey speaking of titles and manmade doctrines, who the heck put all these different titles in the form of denominations on the simple doctrine of Christ? Well we know that God is not the author of confusion but of peace, so obviously it was the enemy of our Lord that did it; in fact, our Lord gave the enemy and all those that follow his teaching a title or denomination as well, antichrist. Yup, simply put we are either with Him or against Him; so as we see clearly illustrated in the above verses, when you add something to the Word that was never intended to be added, you then take away your name out of the Lamb’s book of life.

Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; (5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (KJV)

For myself, I have looked and have never found titles or things like, Catholic, Protestant, Methodist, Baptist, or any other ‘ists’ someone might decide to add to the Word of God. Either God forgot to put it in His Word, or man decided to leave God out and added their own perversions to it; I will let you decide for yourself. Simply put, when you add a denominational title you then take God out of the picture and have replaced His simple teaching with someone else’s fallen interpretations of them. Now I am not saying that there are not some true believers in these organizations, because God does look at the heart, but for them to grow and mature and continue in their walk they will find that the Lord is asking them to withdraw from these organizations in order to find a deeper more intimate relationship with Him.

Matthew 16:16-18 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. (17) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (18) And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (KJV)

Have you added to the Word of God, are you still following something or someone that our Lord clearly says is not of Him? We see quite clearly, and yes simple as well, that our Lord acknowledged who He is, and what name and doctrine He gives credence to. Given the fact that He does not lie or change, what gives any man the right to think that they can change the meaning of the scriptures? Be assured all this denominational nonsense will be met with eternal consequences.

1 Corinthians 8:5-6 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) (6) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (KJV)

Remember how we started out this week by talking about the simplicity of the gospel, and that it is that simplicity that gets missed by many? Do you know for sure everything you do is of God because it lines up with His Word, or are you still being influenced by things that are more traditional, passed down by traditional people? Step out people, come out from among these dead end doctrines and all that denominational nonsense and be separate, so that you can be a partaker of God’s divine nature.
