Guidance Counselor

John 16:13-15 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (14) He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (15) All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (KJV)

In high school I can recall those that were referred to as guidance counselors, were people that were there to help you find out what you are best suited for concerning your education, and what field you may want to pursue once you moved on. I personally spent many years in the world seeking peace but never able to achieve this goal because I was looking in the wrong place for it.

1 Corinthians 14:9-11 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. (10) There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. (11) Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me. (KJV)

You know God didn’t send the Holy Spirit to confuse us or make life more complicated; actually, His realm is simple, which is why so many miss the meaning of His Word. There are many voices out there but only one is of God, and it is your goal and purpose in life to find out which one it is and then allow His still, small, loving gentle voice lead and guide you through this short lived temporal realm. The enemy has sent out many of his own guidance counselors, offering a cheap imitation to all the Spiritual blessings that we have been blessed with in Christ, to get people entangled and caught up, stuck in this fallen realm. Take the time on a daily basis and make it a priority in your life to give ear to the one and only counselor from above that can take you above and beyond what you could have ever thought of or asked for.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (KJV)

The Holy Spirit is an eye opening experience, one that allows you to see beyond the realm of the flesh and into the realm that is never ending for those that will endure and follow this path to the end. The eyes of your Spiritual understanding is now enlightened, and can only be enlightened by the Spirit of God, so that you can come to know the things as well as the path that our Lord would have you walk this day.

1 Corinthians 2:11-12 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. (12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. (KJV)

Hey you don’t have to guess anymore, or cross your fingers and hope that you are on the right path. Our Lord came so that He could eliminate the guess work, and take you on a path free from doubt and fear. Once you have established peace with God, let that peace be your only guidance counselor today despite what many other voices are trying to dictate.
