The Greatest Reception
1 John 5:9-11 If we receive the witness
of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which
he hath testified of his Son. (10) He that believeth on the Son of God hath
the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar;
because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. (11) And this
is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in
his Son. (KJV)
God sent His only begotten Son for all
mankind, in fact He died for the sin of the whole world. With that fact in
mind, in the end many will not make it to their place in heaven but rather
end up falling for a cheap lie. Only those that receive the witness from
above will be able to follow the path from above, the only way that leads
us out of this fallen realm and into His eternal one.
John 1:11-13 He came unto his own, and
his own received him not. (12) But as many as received him, to them gave he
power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
(13) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of
the will of man, but of God. (KJV)
God has dealt to every man the measure of
faith. The same measure that He gave to His Son when He walked this earth
is the same one we have access to as well. Kind of like a quarterback, God
threw a perfect pass our way, now how many are receiving it and moving
forward in their walk? For many, they don’t take the time to huddle up with
our Lord to hear the play that He would have for them, and end up running
the wrong route. You will find in your walk with the Lord that if you are
going to endure to the end then you will need to be receiving this witness
from above so that you can stay rooted and grounded in the things of God.
You will also find that many that claim to be of God are not really getting
their information from above either, but rather settling for an easier path
or route to follow.
John 7:26-29 But, lo, he speaketh boldly,
and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the
very Christ? (27) Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ
cometh, no man knoweth whence he is. (28) Then cried Jesus in the temple as
he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not
come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. (29) But I
know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me. (KJV)
You know, as you are heading for the goal
line you too will experience a lot of opposition, because once you enter
the field and become a receiver of the things of God you also become a
target of the enemy as well. Knowing for yourself who Christ is, and knowing
that you are getting your message or play from above, is the only way that
you will make it to your eternal reward.
Revelation 19:7-9 Let us be glad and
rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and
his wife hath made herself ready. (8) And to her was granted that she
should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the
righteousness of saints. (9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they
which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto
me, These are the true sayings of God. (KJV)
You have been invited to the greatest
reception in the universe, will you be ready? Well, only if you are
receiving your instructions today from the greater witness, Christ in you,
your only hope of eternal glory. God bless and keep yourself open to the
things of God.
