The Price Is Right
1 Corinthians 7:23-24 Ye are bought with
a price; be not ye the servants of men. (24) Brethren, let every man,
wherein he is called, therein abide with God. (KJV)
You know you were bought; well, how about
bought back, because at one time we were on the outside of salvation and
unable to enter into a personal relationship with our Lord. It took quite a
sacrifice to get you this access, and it took quite a person to accomplish
and provide your redemption. Now that the Lord has paid the price will you
answer His call when He comes to your door seeking entrance, or will you be
too busy with your own self serving interests?
Revelation 3:19-20 As many as I love, I
rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. (20) Behold, I stand
at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will
come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (KJV)
If you bought a house, paid the price for
it, then you would expect to be able to occupy that dwelling and take up
residence wouldn’t you? Once you entered that house you wouldn’t want someone
else coming along and trying to take up residence in a place that you paid
for would you? Especially if it was someone who was not very desirable to
be around. Well when our Lord knocks, will you be open to His Word, or will
you keep Him on the outside of His temple, which you just happen to be?
Does the Lord have an open door to your heart, or is it padlocked and
considered condemned, not fit to live in?
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee fornication.
Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth
fornication sinneth against his own body. (19) What? know ye not that your
body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God,
and ye are not your own? (20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore
glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. (KJV)
Once you allow the Lord access to your
temple, which in reality is His, then it is expected that you keep the
worldly influences on the outside; you know like leaving the pigs in the
pigpen? That temple that is the Lord’s is now considered His Church, not
some cheap hotel in the red light district. You will be giving an account
of what you did in your body, and you will have to do it face to face with
God; so you may want to think twice before selling your soul for a feeling.
2 Corinthians 5:10-11 For we must all
appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the
things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good
or bad. (11) Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but
we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your
consciences. (KJV)
Our Lord paid the ultimate price so that
we could get back into good standing with our Father in heaven, having
redeemed us from the curse of the old law of sin and death.
1 Corinthians 15:21-22 For since by man
came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. (22) For as in
Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (KJV)
The price is right, since by man came
death it then took a man to pay the total price, and redeem us back from
the pits of hell. Our Lord was dying to get you this access into His new
realm of the Spirit, are you dying to stay there?
