True Love
What is true love? Look around this world
at the example of love? What do you have to look forward to in that? For
many in this world, what they consider true love can be here today and gone
tomorrow; a fleeting feeling which begins in lust and gets manufactured
into what many consider love.
Consider this true love…for God so loved
the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:5-8 And hope maketh not ashamed;
because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us. (6) For when we were yet without strength, in due
time Christ died for the ungodly. (7) For scarcely for a righteous man will
one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. (8) But
God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us. (KJV)
1 John 4:11-19 Beloved, if God so loved
us, we ought also to love one another. (12) No man hath seen God at any
time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected
in us. (13) Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he
hath given us of his Spirit. (14) And we have seen and do testify that the
Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. (15) Whosoever shall
confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. (16)
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love;
and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (17) Herein
is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:
because as he is, so are we in this world. (18) There is no fear in love;
but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that
feareth is not made perfect in love. (19) We love him, because he first
loved us. (KJV)
Do you really want to know what true love
is? Then read Isaiah 53.
1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love
of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our
lives for the brethren. (KJV)
Do you really want to perceive the love
of God? Then you will have to do the same.
Hebrews 12:3 For consider him that
endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied
and faint in your minds. (KJV)
Christ in us; a perfect and true love
that never fails or disappoints. Any questions?
