A Working Knowledge
Philippians 2:12-14 Wherefore, my
beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much
more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (13)
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good
pleasure. (14) Do all things without murmurings and disputings: (KJV)
So what were you fussing and murmuring
about, was it something that was really worth getting worked up about? When
you accepted the Lord’s plan of salvation, you decided to put someone else
to work for you so that you wouldn’t have to suffer any more frustration of
things that don’t work. Do you really realize who is working in you, yeah
God, it don’t get any higher or more powerful than Him does it? In fact,
could you think of anyone else you would rather have working in and through
you than Him? So, why the long face and frustration? Keep giving ear to
what the Lord is saying and you won’t be fussing and fighting with those of
the world who think they can work themselves into peace and contentment.
Hebrews 13:20-21 Now the God of peace,
that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the
sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, (21) Make you perfect
in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well
pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and
ever. Amen. (KJV)
Hey, have you read through your Bible
lately; check out the part about God and the fact that He is undefeated.
Check out all those things where He says we are more than conquerors
through Him that loves us. So if God is undefeated, and when I look to the
end and see that He stays that way, what does that make me then? How about
this fact as well, if God is working in me and it is well pleasing in His
sight, then how could I go wrong? This is the working knowledge we need to
keep in mind Church; we are winners, not losers. We need to keep our minds
renewed with this truth so that it sets and keeps us free from our carnal
thinking and its losing ways.
1 John 4:4-5 Ye are of God, little
children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you,
than he that is in the world. (5) They are of the world: therefore speak
they of the world, and the world heareth them. (KJV)
Why are so many of God’s people running
to and fro seeking the answer to their walk when it is right inside of them
waiting to spring forth and give new life to the believer? Most of what you
will find and see on the outside is those that are still of the world and
hold to its fallen ways even though they profess to be Christian or Christ
like. Do you desire something different, something that actually works?
Then why not try a different approach and discover for yourself a personal
working knowledge of who the Son of God is and how you too can be
considered one of the family members in Christ.
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from
the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or
famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (36) As it is written, For thy
sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the
slaughter. (37) Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors
through him that loved us. (38) For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor
things to come, (39) Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall
be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord. (KJV)
Here is a working knowledge that each and
every believer in Christ needs to have and maintain. Are you of the
personal persuasion today that no one or nothing is going to sever your
relationship with God? Are you taking on your day today as one of
conquering and expecting total victory, or is it still a toss of the dice
hoping to hit the right numbers? The mind of Christ renewed to the things
of His realm will keep His knowledge working in and through you.
