Spiritually
Speaking
Matthew
10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils:
freely ye have received, freely give. (KJV)
I recently attended a bible
study, and asked the question if anybody ever saw someone raised from the dead.
After some strange looks and quiet moments, the answer was no. However, if
one looks at the scriptures, and is able to hear the message God intended
to deliver, one would realize that for those that are born again, every
time you look in the mirror, you would see someone that was dead
spiritually, and brought back to life.
Ephesians
2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved
us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,
(by grace ye are saved;) (KJV)
To
be spiritually dead, is to be separated from God and His plan of salvation,
and continue in fear in darkness.
Ephesians
5:14-15 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the
dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk
circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, (KJV)
By
accepting God, and His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ, we are able
to walk in a newness of life, free from doubt or guilt. The goal and
purpose of daily bread for life, is to help build up the body of Christ,
sharing the good news of the gospel on a daily basis. We will cover
numerous topics, and the scriptures to back them up. Please, for your own
benefit, take the time to search the scriptures for yourself, and allow the
Holy Spirit to lead and guide you into all truth, not just take the word of
someone else.
Acts
17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they
received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures
daily, whether those things were so. (KJV)
Many
choose to entrust their salvation with someone else, rather than spending
the time developing a close and personal relationship with God, knowing who
He is as well as how to walk confidently in His plan of salvation.
Romans
8:6-7 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is
life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is
not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (KJV)
God
is a spirit, and to know Him you have to learn to operate in His realm, in
other words thinking outside the box, which is nothing more than what
denominations are; man trying to make God in his image and likeness, and
keeping Him in their own denominational box.
1
Timothy 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. (KJV)
Sad
to say, even with many who profess to be Christians, they are dead
spiritually, because they spend to much time seeking the things of this
life, and not the things of God, who only can bring life and peace to those
that find Him.
